Unlike e-mails or mail shots, an RSS reader lets you choose exactly what information you want to know. The content is presented in short  bursts with a general heading which will link to a web page for further details. Most web browsers, the thing you are using to see this web page (Explorer, Firefox, Safari),  have built in readers. Some on-line home pages like iGoogle and facebook have a widget you can include. Basically you subscribe to a particular feed of interest and when you log on the relevant items are displayed. The beauty of this system is that the item is updated automatically. At Divemaster Scuba we run 3 news feeds. One for general news, one for holiday news and one for special offers. Our news feeds are only updated when we have something special to say.
