Scuba can be family fun Scuba diving is one of the few non- competitive sports that all the family can enjoy. Unfortunately due to the safety restrictions of many UK Open Water Sites we are unable to offer the full Junior Open Water certification until a child reaches the age of 12. This is in line with HSE policy in the UK which we endorse wholeheartedly. Ages 10 - 11 we can complete the study and pool sections in the UK for a referral course to be completed elsewhere. As a certified PADI Junior Open Water Diver, the most widely recognised and respected rating in the world, you have the freedom to dive with a qualified parent, guardian or a professional. If you have already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the junior open water program. At the age of 15, the Junior Open Water qualification is automatically upgraded to the full adult rating. Options: Age     8 - 9: Bubblemaker and Seal Team Age 10 - 11: Junior Open Water Referral Age 12 - 15: Junior Open Water Junior courses cover exactly the same content and skills as adult courses, but with certain restrictions. Participants should have reached an adequate level or literacy. At the age of 15 the certification can be uprated to the full adult level without further training. Any Questions?
