By taking the Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB) Course you will learn how to safely deploy a DSMB while under water. You will have the confidence of deploying the DSMB from a hovering position or from the a stationary position on the bottom. The DSMB Speciality course teaches you:- • To develop your practical knowledge of a DSMB • To dispel some of the myths regarding the use of a DSMB • To learn the various methods of deploying a DSMB • To increase your dive skills • To enable you to plan your dive and where to deploy a DSMB The course includes a pool orientation session plus two open water dives. All materials and equipment is provided, but it is highly recommended that you have your own DSMB and reel.
