PADI eLearning - Junior Open Water Course

This is a great way to get the kids started in the comfort of your own home. Here the junior diver can learn all the basics and get a credit towards the academic section of the full open water course. No sitting in classrooms, learning at their own pace, completing the academics at a time to suit you.

That's it. Once the academics have been completed all you need do is pop along to a PADI Dive Centre (anywhere in the world) and complete the rest of your course.

With the academic section out of the way, all that's left is the exciting stuff, a short quiz and review of the eLearning, then to the pool and eventually into open water to explore and enjoy the aquatic realm.

PADI eLearning Junior Open Water Diving Course - The rest....

The Junior Open Water course is exactly the same as the standard Open Water Course but with certain depth restriction in the open water section of training.

You must be at least ten years old to receive a Junior Open Water Diver Certification. Ten and 11 year old Junior Open Water Divers must dive with a certified parent, guardian or PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet. 12 to 14 year olds must dive with a certified adult. For on-line tuition there is a minimum age of 13.

At age 15, the Junior certification upgrades to a regular Open Water Diver certification. Juniors (under 15's) may also take part in many of the Advanced and Speciality Courses details of which are given in the individual course outlines.
