A group Diving Holiday to break all records

January 2006 saw our biggest group holiday ever. We also think we broke every record for the tour operators and dive centres involved. We stayed at the beautiful 5* Crowne Plaza Hotel and at a cost of only £349 including flights and transfers from East Midlands (Nottingham) Airport it represented great value. We are doing it all again next year - for the same price, but now with a two week option..

This was a brilliant holiday for the family, singles, couples groups. Flying from Nottingham East Midlands gave us 8 days and seven nights in the popular resort of Sharm El Sheikh. The hotel facilities made it ideal for non-divers and divers alike. What’s more we were there with a load of mates to join up with, or simply lazed and enjoy the luxury that surrounded us. The diving was spectacular in the Red Sea. The hotel had its own house reef (Far Garden) and shore diving was also available.

Crown Plaza Hotel

This hotel was a very popular choice being so convenient for Namma Bay and the Airport. The shops and restaurants of Naama Bay were only a few minutes cab drive away with a courtesy bus available. This hotel represented good value with comfortable standard rooms. The rooms were air-conditioned room with en-suite bath, shower & WC. All had fridge, phone, satellite TV and balcony. From the Tapas Bar, Italian Restaurant to the 5 swimming pools, private beach, baby sitting service, Kids Club, Cyber Cafe (see details) there was something for everyone.

Breakfast is buffet style and during the week there will be special entertainment events. We are doing it all again next year.

Diving

There was a choice of day boat diving, shore and house reef diving. The optional standard dive package included 5 days, 10 boat dives, cylinder and weights was only £99 extra. Equipment hire, extra dives and trips including night diving, the Thistlegorm, Dunraven were optional and extra, payable locally.

Visit Cairo and the Pyramids / Sphinx

During the week there was an opportunity to visit Cairo. The trip includes coach, Cairo Museum, lunch, Pyramids, English speaking guide and all entrances. A fascinating and packed day.
