Cavern diving is spectacular and rewarding. It challenges our ability to plan and execute dives in a controlled and environmentally sensitive way. Caverns often hold the secrets of our past. We can sometimes find fossils and rock formations which have laid undisturbed for millions of years. The PADI Cavern Diver Speciality Course will enable you to develop your practical knowledge of the cavern environment and organise exploration in safety.

There is also an opportunity to explore more of Malta's spectacular diving and unique scenery. Non-divers and a variety of other PADI courses can be accommodated.

Our courses include flights from the UK, half board accommodation, all cylinders, air, weights, local transfers, tuition, study materials, dives and practical demonstrations. At least 5 dives over 3 days. Your certification cards are also included.

The PADI Cavern Diver Course is open to divers of all agencies including BS-AC, SAA, SSI, NAUI and of course PADI. You will need to produce evidence your qualifications and log book. See holiday training for further details or current hoildays for dates and availability.

Prerequisites for the PADI Cavern Diver Speciality Course are a minimum age of 18, proof of certification beyond entry level with a minimum of 20 logged dives. These should include experience of night diving and deep diving (beyond 18 metres).

You will need a current sports diving medical, signed by a doctor. HSE and UK recreational medicals are accepted. If you do not have a medical, this will be arranged for you at the Dive Centre on the first day at a small cost.

Day 1

Registrations, medicals, course overview, checkout dive, academics and demonstrations, land drills.
Optional extra night dive.

Day 2

Shallow water drills, cavern dive demonstration. You will follow and take part in a cavern dive conducted by the instructor.

Day 3

Plan and dive two caverns. This is where you put your training into practice. You will organise and conduct a cavern dive as part of the team.

Make a holiday of it

Following the course, guided recreational dives are available as an optional extra for shore or boat diving mainland Malta. Excursions to Gozo, Comino and the Blenheim Bomber at Xorb II-Ghagin are also available subject to sea and weather conditions.

All instruction is supervised by Mike our PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer who is also qualified as a BS-AC Advanced Instructor, IANTD Advanced NITROX Instructor and SAA Instructor.
