This package is for two Specialty programs of your choice and enough guided dives to achieve the SSI Specialty Diver recognition rating. Specialty Diver is your first step toward becoming an SSI Master Diver, and can begin as soon as you complete your Open Water Diver training. By completing any two SSI Specialty programs that interest you, and logging 12 open water dives, you will automatically receive the SSI Specialty Diver recognition rating along with your SSI Specialty program certifications. It's the great next step after your Open Water program; gain some experience with a professional on hand.

You will be sent an e-mail to discuss what Specialty courses you which to take before being registered, allowing access to the SSI online academics. You can use a computer or any digital device to login, update your profile and start the learning process. The multimedia academics with videos and multiple choice questions keep learning fun and ensure you are perfectly prepared for your water sessions.
If Dry Suit Diving Specialty is chosen then a pool session to orientate you with the new equipment is required, you will learn how to manage your buoyancy and trim using a drysuit. Your classroom academic lesson is scheduled to suit your needs and the specialities you selected, here we will clarify information, answer questions and show you how to apply your knowledge to real world diving.
For all the specialties, open water is conducted at Stoney Cove or another location that allows easy safe access to the water. You will complete your dives under the guidance of our experienced instructors. We will teach you everything there is to know to dive safely and comfortably in your chosen subject area.

Wreck - Learn about the skills required to safely penetrate, map and discover wrecks.
Deep - Understand what happens to your body and the protocols for deep diving.
Navigation - Compass, line, natural and just some of the types of navigation you will learn.
All sessions are followed with a thorough debriefing and discussion about your performance helping you learn. On successful completion, you will be issued with a certificate of completion and a digital recognition rating (via MySSI App) for each specialty, once you have logged 12 dives you will also automatically receive the Specialty Diver recognition rating.
This course also includes enough free guided dives to get you to 12 logged dives.

- Certification lasts for life
- All Kit Hire is included
- All Pool fees are included (if required) but entry to open water sites is not included
- All Air fills are included
- Instructor time is included

Pool sessions are at Divemaster Scuba on weekday evenings or selected Saturdays.
