As part of the Dry Suit course, a pool session to orientate you with the new equipment is required. You will learn how to manage your buoyancy and trim using a drysuit. Your classroom academic lesson is scheduled to suit your needs and the specialities you selected, here we will clarify information, answer questions, and show you how to apply your knowledge to real-world diving.
Initial training is likely to be at Stoney Cove or another location that allows easy safe access to the water. You will complete 4 or 6 dives under the guidance of our experienced instructors. We will teach you everything there is to know to dive safely and comfortably in your subject areas.
Then by arrangement we head to the sea to complete some dives aboard a boat and actively practice our new skills and knowledge.
This is likely to be a couple of days away at a location.
All sessions are followed with thorough debriefing and discussion about your performance helping you learn. On successful completion, you will be issued with a certificate of completion and a digital recognition rating (via MySSI App).
